LG: I collect data and represent it on a graph.
Today you are going to go on a hunt around your house, and count all the items below. Record your results in the table.
Item | Tally | Total |
Pillows | ||
Forks | ||
Clothes Pegs | ||
Taps | ||
Chairs | ||
Windows |
After you have collected your data, draw a column graph to show the data you collected.Remember your graph needs to include:
- A title
- Labelled axis
- Evenly spaced columns
CHALLENGE:
Write some statements about the data your graph shows. There are some examples below.
- I have 24 more pillows than taps in my house.
- My graph shows that I had more forks than any other item.
- I have the same amount of chairs and windows.
I lost my math book. I’m sure I had it around here somewhere but where? I’ve looked everywhere I have been today but still no clues
That’s okay, maybe do your activity on a piece of paper or another book until you find it.
I don’t think books are meant to disappear………
Okay
Also, how are you meant to record forks if their in a dishwasher?
