Homework Week 5 Due 1st of March

This week for homework:

  1. 100 Word Challenge, this week we are focusing on feedback. For homework you need to read the feedback from me and then use this to improve your piece. You must re-post and edit your piece based on the feedback I have given you. If you did not have any areas for improvement you can re-post your piece and add what happens next.
  2. As well as 5 nights of reading we would also like you to write a short response for each night (1-2 sentences) about your reading, this could be a wondering, a connection or a prediction. This is to be written in your diary.
  3. Your maths task this week is a problem solving question. There could be a variety of answers across the class.  We are more interested in how you worked it out. You need to record your thinking in your homework book. The question is: What size shoe do you have? Ian Thorpe (Famous Australian Swimmer) has a shoe size of 17. How would you work out how long that is? Show all your working out. (Do not erase any of your mistakes, simply put a line through it)

Hi 5/6 B

This year  I am very exciting about teaching you and I am very happy to be part of an amazing school community.

In our class everyday is a new learning day, a place where fun happens and making mistakes is okay. A growth mind set is essential and a sense of belonging is established.

We will work together, learn together, support one another and enjoy the adventures along the way.

Looking forward to a great year from Chris
