Thursday 26/08/21 – Mindfulness Activity

Mindfulness (10 minutes) Activity: I can practice mindful balancing 

Today we are going to practise being present and aware when balancing in different positions. With each balance we want you to pay attention to the following:

  • The muscles on your balancing leg. Are your calves working hard to keep you balanced? Can you feel your muscles activated?
  • Are your leg muscles wobbly? 
  • Is your foot moving or swaying from side to side?
  • Is your body moving from side to side?
  • What are your arms doing? Are they still? Or are they shaking?
  • Focus on your foot against the floor. Feel the pressure underneath your foot. 
  • Now switch feet.
