Learning Goal: I understand that the actions of characters can affect the story.
First, when we read we need to understand that the actions of characters may have an effect on the outcome of the story.
We can do this by thinking about the following prompts;
- What happened in the story?
- How did the character respond to the situation?
Ex. “The princess and the frog fairy tale” (if you are unfamiliar with this story you can listen to the story by clicking on the following link Princess and the Frog | Fairy Tales and Bedtime Stories for Kids | Princess Story)
Next, listen to ‘Never Satisfied The story of a stone cutter’ in the video below.
Then, use the prompts and to think about the characters actions and the effects they had on the story
- What happened in the story?
- How did the character respond to the situation?
Finally, link your ideas by using the linking words.
