Learning Goal: I can create a self-portrait.
Today you are going to draw a portrait of yourself.
First, gather your colored pencils, markers, crayons and a sheet of paper.
Next, draw a simple line drawing of yourself showing your head and shoulders,
Then, draw a line down the middle of the face.
Now, colour one side, showing your skin tone, your hair colour and the colour of the jacket or shirt you are wearing. Keep it simple and realistic, keep it to what you can see.
Finally, on the other side, add in what we call your identity markers. These are the things that show who you are, your interests, and your history. They tell us who you are through a picture.
Don’t forget to share your picture with your teacher via OneNote.
